    • I am having trouble logging in, what do I do?

      If it is a password problem please click «Forgot Password» and follow the link in the email that is sent to you.

      For other login problems, please send us a message on the Contact page.

    • What format and file size should my documents be in?

      Your CV Document should be in .DOC, .DOCX, or PDF format and no bigger than 1MB.

      Other attachments (ENG1, STCW, CoC etc) in PDF or image formats can be up to 50MB.

    • I received an error on the webpage when updating my profile.

      Please try to refresh your browser session. If that does not clear the error please send us an email via the Contact page.

    • My role is not listed as a position on your site.

      Please contact us straight away and we will look into it.

    • My CV did not upload properly, what happened?

      Our auto CV upload feature reads through your CV and places your content in the correct place.

      It happens that sometimes the data ends up in the incorrect field, in which case please adjust it accordingly.

  • Candidate
    • I am currently employed but looking for work. Can you protect my confidentiality?

      Yes, we will do everything in our power to protect your confidentiality. Please however inform us when this is the case.

    • I would like to know more about the employer in the job vacancy. Can you tell me who they are?

      Unfortunately not. This is up to the employer's discretion, you'll likely only find out more when you reach the shortlist/interview stage.

    • Who is able to view my CV?

      Only Sectre recruiters and the employer whose vacancy you have applied for.

    • I know a person ideal for a position but they are currently employed. Can I refer them?

      Yes by all means, please do. Just let us know when this is the case and we will tread lightly.

    • When will I receive my Signing Bonus?

      Once you have completed your probation period with your new employer.

    • When will I receive my Referral Bonus?

      After your referred friend has been hired and completed their probation period.

    • Do you offer any training with the use of your Hiring Portal?

      Yes we do. We can walk your through the features over the phone.

    • My colleague, who is currently away, has the login details for our Hiring Portal. Can you assist?

      Unfortunately we do not have access to your password. Please change your password using the "Forgot Password" link.

    • What benefit does psychometric testing give me as an employer?

      At SECTRE we believe testing core employees and potential candidates gives you a good indication of personality fit within your team, hence ensuring longevity within the company.

    • We desperately need an engineer for some relief work. Can you assist?

      Yes, we have some relief engineers registered. We will do our best to find you one who is available on short notice.
